Latif M. Rizk

(1928 - 2011)

Egyptian born, Latif Rizk began his career in international trade in 1950 at the age of 22, importing chemicals and pharmaceuticals, and later, exporting Egyptian snack foods to the region.

In 1975, he immigrated to the U.S. and began exporting various food products and ingredients to Egypt and surrounding markets. As a pioneer in USDA’s early international marketing efforts, he was the first to introduce frozen imported beef and poultry products to the Egyptian market.

Recognizing expansion opportunities worldwide, Mr. Rizk founded MIRASCO Inc. in 1983. His two sons joined him in the family business, and together, they established strategic branches in key global markets and supply regions.

Throughout his sixty-year career, Mr. Rizk’s personal and business integrity were instrumental in building strong relationships with some of the world’s largest and most reputable processors.

Today, brothers Saher and Sami Rizk continue their father’s legacy—leveraging strong relationships and their team’s expertise, to deliver value in the fast-paced global marketplace.
